Instagram is one of our favorite places to find amazing artists and Katherine Freeman has been a favorite follow of ours. Her work can be seen in many of your favorite interior designer’s work, including Society Social and Megan Molten. Here’s a bit more background on Katherine and how she found herself as a successful artist:
Artist and Owner Katherine Freeman Hocke left her college Studio Art exam holding her final project piece when a woman stopped her and asked if her painting was for sale. Katherine sold her first painting that day and the rest is history. Katherine swoons over oil pastels, watercolors, acrylic, and oil and loves using her creativity in every aspect of her career. KF Original Art has secured its place in homes from across the globe and has been mentioned in publications like Apartment Therapy and Jezebel Magazine.
Like French Impressionist Matisse said, “I want to make paintings so serenely beautiful that when one comes upon them, suddenly all problems subside”. With a focus on bringing light and happiness to your walls, Katherine is most inspired by color, textures, and interior design. Katherine’s mission is this: to instill feelings of hope and happiness with her art; hoping to create pieces that are cherished and can be passed on for generations to come.
