Our August Purchases
What do we actually buy? Of all of the recommendations and finds, we can’t possibly buy it all, although we do strive to only share items that we WOULD buy for our homes, or items that are specific reader requests. We typically share Instagram stories when we make a purchase, and we love hearing from those of you who make a purchase from our recommendations, too.
This is our first monthly roundup of items we’ve bought for our own homes for August 2019. We hope you enjoy!
Brynn Swivel Chairs- we did a post on our review of these. I’ve really enjoyed them for the last several weeks. A definite value.
3 Light Vanity Light - this look for less is a product of our own searching. We haven’t installed it yet - it’s for a guest bathroom, but I knew it would be perfect for a small bathroom with the clean lines and a classic shape.
Nest Thermostat- we finally joined the year 2019. We chose the less expensive, white option as the screen was more clean and straightforward and it’s located in a white hallway. I’m not sure having the weather on our thermostat is useful for us. We aren’t that tech savvy in our house!
Cream Glider- this one finally came back in stock, so we snagged it. It’s back out of stock again, sadly! Again, I haven’t put it in the nursery yet (still under renovation - are you sensing a theme?), but I knew it wouldn’t last long. We’ll keep an eye on it for a restock.
Navy and White Momeni Rug - We bought this rug and really, really loved it. Unfortunately, I had to return because the pattern just didn’t work with my existing curtains. I highly recommend this in the blue or gray for those of you looking for a good quality, patterned rug. This brand has great quality pillows and rugs that have a custom designer look.
4 Light Adler Chandelier - we bought this for an instant refresh of our dining room, which is a shared space with our formal living room. Our old chandelier was a drum style and ended up blocking the sight lines too much for our preference. This is yet another example of our tastes changing over time!
Diamond Sisal Rug - a tried and true design classic that finally made its way into our homes after we had a dog-related incident on the guest room rug. We got the natural option and it pairs perfectly with our oversized abstract art and simple nightstands.
Matouk Auberge Mongrammed Bath Towels - these are currently in our cart to be purchased this weekend. Our guest bathroom towels are a bit blah so we were excited to see this fancy brand on a great sale! A simple monogram can take a generic bathroom to personalized in as easy as Click-Buy-Deliver!
Williams Sonoma Fragrance Diffuser - we’re constantly on the hunt for the perfect diffuser to help combat those daily dog and food smells that just so happen to grace our homes. While we love the Nest Bamboo option, we bought two new fragrances this month: Gardenia and Fleur De Sel. Our favorite of the two would be the gardenia.
