If you’ve been keeping your eyes on Paloma Contreras’s store, you’ve likely seen our latest Artist Spotlight feature: Erin Lato. Her beautiful abstract pieces caught our eye and we were honored to have her participate in this month’s post. You know we love artists that blend timelessness with contemporary perspectives, especially with non-objective subject matter. Not all abstract art is created equal and we think Erin’s talent is something special. We hope you agree!
Here is a bit about Erin, in her own words:
Being creative is something I have enjoyed for as long as I can remember. I have studied and taken classes for years under the direction of many successful and well known artists. These mentors have shaped my vision and technique in a way I believe no traditional art school ever could.
While learning and perfecting my craft over the last 5 years, I have slowly and carefully curated a business and brand I am genuinely passionate about. I am a Louisiana Master Gardener and gain inspiration for my work using the organic shapes and color variances found in nature. I also have a strong appreciation for interior design and how a well thought out space can elevate the way you live unassumingly in the background. My husband, Scott, and I have one young child, Hannah, two adorably bad goldendoodle pups, and a sweet and very patient kitty.
