Augusta Wilson Art
Augusta Wilson happened upon our radar when we worked with a previous Artist Spotlight, Marquin Campbell, as she’s a friend and supporter of her work. And much like Marquin, we were blown away by how incredibly talented Augusta is. She’s a fellow Southerner with a knack for pairing fun, bright colors in a very cool, abstract way. Her pieces are the very thing you need to tie a full room design together. And she has yet another talent: teaching! If you’re interested in abstract art classes, Augusta has been teaching them for over five years, and can even accommodate virtual environments. If you’re interested in learning more, check out her FAQ section on her website.
Here’s a bit more about Augusta, in her own words:
I was raised in a creative environment in the Deep South. For as long as I can remember, proper etiquette and design have been my guides. I am fortunate to have a BFA in painting from the University of Georgia and a MFA in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design-Atlanta. My education has led to a summer in the hills of Cortona, Italy, a love affair with events and marketing, and a visual language that never tires.
I currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia with my husband, Ed, and our two young sons, Oscar and Ian. When I'm not painting, I enjoy teaching abstract painting classes for adults virtually through my abstract painting school (found here). You can find my paintings throughout the United States.
I regularly post new paintings and announcements to Instagram. You can follow me at @augustawilson.
