We look forward to our monthly Artist Spotlight each month! This has been a new post for us in 2019- each month, we highlight an artist that we love and share them with you! We have found some truly talented women this year. We love when our readers recommend artists that they want to share, and we love hearing from the artists themselves! Meet Ally:

Ally Sheppard is a Nashville native having earned her BA from Vanderbilt University in Art History and an MFA from the Smithsonian-Corcoran Graduate Program in Decorative Arts.  With a career split between museum curation and auction houses, she has always had a passion for fine craftsmanship and good design. She turned to painting to further her creative expression, bringing the passions developed over the course of her career to her artwork.

Her works exhibit an instinctive understanding of color, balance, texture and composition.  She creates abstract works on canvas and paper that are reminiscent of landscapes, waterscapes, the human figure or purely abstract compositions.
